Polaris 30 took place on November 2nd, 2024 and the promotion put on an excellent card that delivered some exciting results. There were a number of fun matches throughout the preliminary card first, and some of Europe’s top competitors made an appearance. Pawel Jaworski continued his great run recently by defeating Faris Ben-Lamkadem by decision, and the final two matches of the preliminary card wouldn’t have looked out of place later on in the night. There was a minor upset when Sula-Mae Lowenthal got a big submission win over Rosa Walsh and Kieran Kichuk led the fans into the main card with a decision win over Carson Coles.
Eoghan O’Flanagan opened up the main card against Philippe Geyer and although it was a tough match, he got the decision win in the end. Then Dante Leon showed why he’s one of the top grapplers in the world as he was also able to get a decision win over Ellis Younger. That started a theme and every other match on the main card ended in decision, although there were still plenty of fun moments. Keith Krikorian also stood out for his performance, as the reigning featherweight champion was able to beat Jed Hue despite moving up to lightweight for the match.
The co-main event of the evening was up next, and Helena Crevar was making her first title-defense against Nia Blackman. Crevar was the favorite but both women are still very early in their careers and anything could happen once they hit the mat. There was no upset though, and Crevar retained her lightweight title with a decision win. The main event was a battle between two MMA stars, Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Carlos Condit. It was far more competitive than many people predicted when the match was first announced and although Condit had more submission attempts, Page was able to win the decision with some outstanding grappling on the feet.
