Pit Submission Series 12 took place on May 2nd, 2025 and the world’s first pit grappling promotion produced some excellent results once again. They had some serious star-power in their latest event too, as UFC veteran Arman Tsarukyan was competing in the main event. There was plenty of action before that too though, starting off with the first match between Khotam Boynazarov and Saygid Izagakhmaev. A quick guard-pull by Izagakhmaev got him exactly where he wanted to be and he had some great offense from the bottom immediately. He kept attacking and hit a lovely transition from a kimura into an armbar, rolling Boynazarov over to his back and extending the arm for the finish.

With the first match over in less than two minutes, it was time for Pouya Rahmani to take on Slim Trabelsi. Rahmani scored two takedowns in the first round and they both ended with him taking the back too, but Trabelsi worked his way back up both times. Trabelsi picked up the pace in the second round and although he couldn’t finish a takedown on Rahmani, initiating so much pulled him level and gave him a chance to win in the final round. An attempt by Trabelsi in the third round was countered when Rahmani scrambled up on top, and that was enough to secure victory over Rahmani as the only significant action of the round.

After a few Karate Combat matches, it was time for Arman Tsarukyan to step into the pit for the final grappling match of the night against Makkasharip Zaynukov. The first round was fairly close on the feet and neither man could secure a takedown, but Tsarukyan was pressuring forward a little more and got the closest to a takedown against the wall. The pace slowed in the second round but Tsarukyan was still the more aggressive of the two, until Zaynukov hit a lovely counter to a single-leg that put him down briefly. Then Tsarukyan drove him into the pit wall and dragged him to his knees with a rear-bodylock in the dying seconds, doing just enough to win the match without the need for a third round.
