The ADCC Lima Open 2025 took place on October 18th, 2025 and the best grapplers from all around Peru made the journey to compete. It was the promotion’s second visit to the country after the inaugural ADCC Peru Open in 2024 and events like this do a great job of raising the level of local talent. That was shown here by the fact that almost every champion in the advanced division was Peruvian, with elite competitor Thais Loureiro being the only non-Peruvian winner at under 55kg. Francesca Grigori was the women’s absolute champion though, an impressive feat as the 20 year-old blue belt was competing at intermediate earlier in the day.

Lucas Torres was the men’s absolute champion, and he also won gold at over 100kg after a silver medal at under 91kg. Torres finished the day with a total record of 5-1 with 3 submissions; a superb performance for the 24 year-old brown belt. Alfonso Estrada had an equally impressive run though, as he submitted all 3 of his opponents at under 76kg. Some of the other competitors had to win 3 matches too, with top young black belt Cristhopher Gomez enjoying a great run at under 65kg without conceding any points. Francisco Montesinos and Patricio Benitez did the same either side of him at under 60kg and under 70kg respectively, showing that Peru has some great talent in the lighter weight classes.
