ONE Championship have just announced a collaboration with top BJJ brand Shoyoroll, where the two organizations will be producing a line of no gi equipment. The line will be limited edition and only a certain number will be available, something that’s pretty standard practice for most Shoyoroll collaborations. Shoyoroll have done plenty of collaborative projects with other major brands in the past, but they have often been gis with some supplemental rashguards. Instead this collaboration with ONE Championship is focusing exclusively on no gi equipment, likely because of the fact that the promotion only books submission grappling matches at present.
Shoyoroll have been one of the biggest BJJ brands around for quite some time, but they hit a new high last year with their IBJJF collaboration that saw them earn ‘Brand of the Year’ at the Jits Magazine 2023 BJJ Awards. They have continued with that momentum in 2024 as well, launching yet another collaboration with Vans to start the year off strong. This latest announcement is an even bigger feather in their cap too, as ONE Championship regularly produces submission grappling matches featuring some of the very biggest names in the sport like Mikey Musumeci and both of the Ruotolo brothers.
ONE Championship actually used both Kade Ruotolo and Tye Ruotolo to promote the collaboration with Shoyoroll, as the brothers can be seen wearing the new line of no gi equipment in the announcement. Both of them have already been seen wearing the gear during their most recent ONE Championship matches at ONE Fight Night 21. The announcement was originally made at ONE 168 and it was supposed to be a landmark moment for the promotion with their first submission grappling champion vs champion match. Unfortunately Kade Ruotolo had to withdraw due to injury and the match was cancelled, but the announcement was made regardless.
ONE Championship and Shoyoroll announced the news of their collaboration in a recent post to their official Instagram accounts:
