Majestic BJJ Challenge 5 took place on April 5th, 2025 and there was a mix of Brazilian prospects and top stars featured in the results. The night started with a preliminary card full of matches between the next generation of grapplers, before moving on to an action-packed main card. Vitor Maciel kicked off the main card in style with a slick kneebar to win his match against Mauro Nogueira, but the only other finish after that came from Arcangelo Anjo. He put on a great performance from start to finish against Francisco Araujo and eventually locked up the rear-naked choke to get the tap.
Even without finishes, there was still plenty of entertainment to be found in the other main card matches. They led into the co-main event of the night, where Felipe Machado kept up a relentless place to keep Guilherme Carvalho on the defensive most of the time. Machado won 5-0 on points and led the fans into the main event between Diogo Reis and Cleber Sousa. Sousa put up a fight and had moments of success but Reis was able to stay just ahead of him in the majority of their exchanges. Reis outworked Sousa and the score was 7-2 by the time that the match ended, sealing the win for Reis.
