Main Character Jiu-Jitsu 6 took place on March 30th, 2025 and there was plenty of wild moments and unique matches on the card. After a fun preliminary card full of exciting young competitors, it was time for the big names on the main card. The event lost it’s headline match between Andy Varela and Wallisson Oliveira on just a few days’ notice as Varela was unable to make it, but the promotion adapted brilliantly. Instead of a straightforward title-fight, Wallisson Oliveira competed in a four-man tournament and he proved that he’s one of the best around right now by submitting both Sam Schwartzapfel and Ethan Vistro on the same night.
There was plenty of entertaining matches as the main card progressed, including a fun 3 vs 3 team matchup that ended with a nail-biting overtime round. Ana Mayordomo hit a lovely arm-in guillotine to get a big win over Melanie Iverson, leading directly into the co-main event of the evening. That’s where the MCJJ under 135lbs belt was up for grabs, but Morgan Black retained her title with a slick armbar against Natasha Druggan. The main event was the most unusual match of the night, as the winner was allowed to slap the loser three times after the match. It was the result of a long beef between Katie Bochenek and Katie Laablalli but in the end, Bochenek got the submission win by armbar and delivered three huge slaps to her opponent as the show closed.
