Main Character Jiu-Jitsu 3 took place on February 4th, 2024 and the stacked women’s under 135lbs tournament delivered some fantastic results for the fans in attendance. The promotion split the 8 women up into two different brackets, where they competed in a round-robin format to determine who would make it into the final match. The first bracket featured both Amanda Bruse and Nicole Mathew, and they both managed to put in a series of impressive performances. They each won both their matches against the other women in their bracket, but Black managed to submit Bruse when they went head-to-head and she booked her place in the final.
The other bracket featured Morgan Black and Trinity Pun, two women who are both ranked at the top of this weight class. Black and Pun won both of their first two matches against the other women in the bracket and it all came down to the last match between them. Black was able to maintain her perfect record by submitting Pun, booking her place in the final opposite Mathew. She continued her phenomenal run there, submitting Mathew as well and finishing the night as the promotion’s under 135lbs champion with 4 submissions in 4 matches.
