KSW Epic took place on February 24th, 2024 and the promotion put together some crazy fights in order to celebrate their ten-year anniversary. Fans had a lot to look forward to throughout the event and it opened with one of the most unusual MMA fights in recent memory. A BJJ black belt and a Judo black belt kept their gis on for an MMA fight and the ending was just as surprising as the matchmaking. Despite both men having a ton of grappling experience, neither of them actually relied on it at all and the fight was essentially a striking match. After a little over a minute, the Judo black belt Piotr Kacprzak was able to land the knockout blow and win the fight.
The event then featured the opening rounds of a light-heavyweight regular MMA tournament along with even more unusual rulesets in other fights. The next matchup of interest for grappling fans was a grappling bout between UFC veterans Josh Barnett and Phil De Fries. It was a grueling match right from the start and neither man was able to get the submission win, so the match was ruled a draw as a result. Rafal Haratyk then won the light-heavyweight tournament in the co-main event, before boxing star Tomasz Adamek won the crossover boxing match in the main event.
