Jits Pro League 1 took place on November 8th, 2025 and we crowned our inaugural middleweight champion after 10 tough matches between some of the best grapplers in the UK. The day started with a fun preliminary card full of entertaining matches, with the highlight being Jake O’Shea’s brutal Scottish Twister finish that earned him ‘Submission of the Day’ and a £250 bonus as a result. That led into the teenage leagues, where 4 male and female prospects were battling it out for a £350 prize. They left it all on the mats and showed that the future of British Jiu-Jitsu is in safe hands; with Leia Dawson and Matheus Galdino being crowned the champions after 3 matches each.
Then in the main event, the middleweight league couldn’t have been any more entertaining as every single one of the matches ended in a submission. Hugo Dvorecky gave a great account of himself with 2 wins despite being the lightest man in the division, and his match with Will Kaye earned them both £250 as ‘Match of the Day’. Tom Cellamare finished in fourth with 1 submission to his name, but it was Franck Takoudjou and Carson Coles who ran away with the event by submitting all 3 opponents outside of their match. Coles caught Takoudjou with an ankle-lock to register a perfect run of 4 finishes in 4 matches though, taking home the middleweight title and the £1,000 grand prize with just 14 minutes of total mat-time.
