Jiu-Jitsu legend Jean Jacques Machado has just joined the lineup of instructors for BJJ Summer Week 2025. He’s one of the biggest names in the sport and a key figure in the growth of Jiu-Jitsu over the past few decades. All of the Machado brothers earned their place as BJJ royalty but Jean Jacques stood out even among them for his incredible competition performances. He later transitioned seamlessly from being an elite competitor and in to one of the best coaches in the world, even being a key figure in fellow legend Eddie Bravo’s development as the man who awarded him his black belt.
He is a lifelong Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and one of the best ambassadors that the sport has to offer, being honoured with the 8th degree on his BJJ black belt earlier this year. He’ll now be taking part on BJJ Summer Week 2025 and teaching alongside many other incredible coaches from September 17th to 21st. Legends like Demian Maia and Michelle Nicolini will also be teaching, as will many more world champions and famous coaches. As always, it will be one of the biggest BJJ training camps that the world has ever seen and there’s over 1,000 Jiu-Jitsu practitioners expected on the mats in Cagliari, Sardinia.
What makes 2025 so special is that this will mark the 10th anniversary of BJJ Summer Week and the annual festival is reaching a whole new level in celebration. There will be more game-changing details and technical advice shared in one week than most practitioners will ever receive elsewhere, and there’s plenty to do off the mats too. There will be exclusive trading cards available to commemorate the special week, and other opportunities like Yoga classes and delicious local food. The tickets start from as little as €630 but they are selling out fast and there’s just two months left to secure your place.
