Jacob Rodriguez has recently spoken a little more about his ban from B-Team Jiu-Jitsu, revealing exactly what his actions were. Precise information has been relatively scarce so far, as much of the detail was kept under wraps at first. The fact that Rodriguez was banned from B-Team was actually only revealed after an anonymous source made some of the allegations public. It didn’t take long for both Rodriguez and the team themselves to issue statements on the matter, confirming some of the allegations and that he was no longer welcome to train there but choosing to still remain somewhat vague.
As with any shocking news like this, it didn’t take long for rumours to start swirling on social media and fans of the sport were quickly coming up with their own theories based on the information provided. As that picked up and started to get out of hand, Rodriguez has chosen to address the matter once again and provide more detail as to the exact nature of his actions:
“I just wanted to come on here and offer some clarity and just be transparent with everything that has been going on. So in regards to everything that was on my phone, there was screenshots of a woman’s public Instagram page as well as explicit material.I am aware that this is invasive, inappropriate, and just unhealthy behaviour… And I’m also aware that just because these posts were public, it does not make my actions okay and I take full accountability for everything I’ve done.”
Jacob Rodriguez also addressed some of the rumours that have started to surface about his ban from B-Team in order to shut them down:
“Now in regards to the rumours that I’m hearing… I’m hearing using AI to generate explicit material, secretly taking photos or videos of people, more people being involved than there actually is: These rumours are false and it only drags more people into something they are not a part of. I’m not saying this to defend myself but I am saying this to stop the spread of unnecessary harm.”
He also finished his statement with a plea for people to stop trying to find out who the women involved were, a similar request to one that has previously been made by B-Team themselves too:
“Lastly I just want to once again reiterate, stop reaching out to people looking for answers in regards to who it was etcetera, you know a woman in the community… Please give the people effected by my actions the privacy and space they deserve.”
Jacob Rodriguez clarified the exact reasons behind his ban from B-Team in a recent post to his official Instagram account:
