An arrest warrant has now been issued for Izaak Michell in Hays County, Texas, confirmed in a recent announcement by the Hays County Crime Stoppers. According to the organization, Michell is wanted for a charge of Sexual Assault – Felony 2 and they have expressed that anyone approaching him should use caution on account of his martial arts expertise. They’re also offering a reward of $1,000 for information that leads directly to his capture, as is standard for the suspects on their list. His last known residence is listed as Austin, Travis County, Texas but his current whereabouts are unknown at the time of writing.
Although Michell was previously living in Austin and training at Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu, he is Australian and may well no longer be in the United States at all. He no longer has any connection to his former team, as he was swiftly removed from their roster of competitors when they became aware of the allegations against him. Although there was very little information available publicly at first, things developed quickly when key figures in the Jiu-Jitsu world like Craig Jones and Nicky Ryan started to reveal what they knew about the situation. It became apparent that not only was he accused of serious crimes, but there were also several women making allegations against him.
Hannah Griffith and another woman, Ariel Hayle, have both since come out publicly with their allegations against Michell. Now that an arrest warrant has been issued, it demonstrates that the allegations against Izaak Michell have now been brought to law enforcement too. It remains to be seen whether he’s actually in the US though, as he was seen competing at the ADCC Asia and Oceania Trials 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand just a little under a month ago. If anyone does have any information on his whereabouts then they should come forward and contact the relevant authorities to share what they know.
