The IBJJF No Gi World Championships 2022 have now finished and a new generation of champions have been crowned for this year. The event featured several exciting matches and a number of belt promotions on the podium, including Jacob ‘The Hillbilly Hammer’ Couch being promoted to black belt after winning his division at brown. At the end of the week, the black belts took to the stage and battled for the highest honours available. Elisabeth Clay ended up being the only person to walk away with two gold medals after she won dominated at both middleweight and in the absolute division, much like she did at no gi pans in 2021.
