Heather Grace Gracie has just been used as the real-life model for a character in the latest installment of one of the most popular video game franchises on the planet, Call of Duty. The character in question is ‘Ana Vega’, a special forces medic who has been introduced in the fourth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Although the game was first released in October 2022, it takes a modern approach to releasing in-game content by updating the roster with each new ‘season’. This is why Heather Grace Gracie has not yet had her character included up until this point.
While Heather Grace Gracie has pursued slightly different career-paths to the majority of the Gracie family, Jiu-Jitsu still runs deep in her veins. She’s actually entered several different fields other than being an actor over the years, including both the fitness and music industry at various points. That isn’t all though, as she is also a member and advisor for VETPAW, an anti-poaching organization consisting of combat veterans operating on the African continent. Alongside all of these different ventures, she’s still stuck true to her roots as the granddaughter of Carlos Gracie by training in BJJ and so far becoming a purple belt in it.
Not only did Jiu-Jitsu run in her veins before she ever even learnt to walk, Heather Grace Gracie also married a lifelong martial artist as well. Her husband is Five Finger Death Punch Guitarist Zoltan Bathory, who also happens to be a Judo and BJJ black belt. Heather Grace Gracie has taken that BJJ experience with her into her work as the real-life character model for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as well, as her character’s special moves rely heavily on grappling.
Heather Grace Gracie announced the news that she had been used as the real-life model for ‘Ana Vega’ in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in a recent post to her official Instagram account, and demonstrated some of her character’s signature moves:
