The Jiu-Jitsu and MMA world never ceases to amaze as Gordon Ryan has managed to find the bouncer who took Dillon Danis’ back prior to his arrest, and has now arranged for him to have floor tickets for the 2022 ADCC world championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. The video footage of the incident went viral just recently and it showed the unnamed bouncer subduing BJJ black belt and Bellator MMA veteran Dillon Danis rather easily as he waited for the police arrive and take him in to custody.
Naturally, the sequence of events leading up to his arrest inspired literally hundreds of grappling fans to mock Dillon Danis for being apprehended by someone who undoubtedly had significantly less grappling training than him, with Gordon Ryan being chief among them. When Ryan pledged to provide the bouncer with tickets to the ADCC world championships in 2022, it might have seemed like a joke at first but then he was put in to contact with the man in question.
According to the screenshots of private messages that Ryan uploaded to his official Instagram account, it was actually UFC veteran Al Iaquinta who managed to identify the bouncer and alerted him to Ryan’s offer. This isn’t anywhere near the first time that Ryan has used social media to troll fellow grapplers in creative ways but this is certainly one of most unique. At least some good has come of it, with there being an incredibly happy bouncer out there in New Jersey who just received excellent tickets to the world’s greatest no gi grappling competition.
