GF Team have just announced that they will be joining forces with JiuArt in order to create a mutually beneficial relationship that will help drive both organizations to higher levels of success. GF Team are one of the older affiliations in the sport, as their roots come from all the way back in the 90s in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. After severing ties with the University that they were first associated with, the team was officially founded in their current form by Julio Cesar Pereira in 2007. With dozens of affiliations around the world, GF Team has since developed into one of the most successful competition teams in the world.
JiuArt is significantly newer on the scene and they’ve been aiming to grow into a strong competition team by professionalizing the sport to a higher degree. The deal that JiuArt have struck with GF Team will allow them to immediately gain a much bigger presence in the sport, while GF Team will benefit from an improvement to their approach to training and competition. It will allow the newly-merged team to open more branches than ever before and to help fund athletes from underprivileged communities.
The news that GF Team and JiuArt were merging together was announced in a post to the official Instagram account of the two team’s new entity. The original announcement was made in Portuguese, and the translation can be found below:
“We are facing a revolution that has as its main intuition the valuation and professionalization of the sport, the athlete, and their roots. Nothing more fair than the valuation of the cradle of sport, our Rio de Janeiro. The merger of GFTEAM and JiuArt will bring benefits to everyone who loves sports, from the professional athlete to the child or the elderly… Be a part of this story too!
