Jits Magazine has recently been able to partner with top brand REVGEAR and as part of that relationship, we’ve also had the opportunity to review their entire no gi collection. We’ve gotten hold of a wide selection that includes rashguards, shorts, and spats; essentially everything that someone needs to do no gi Jiu-Jitsu. REVGEAR as a brand are one of the oldest in the sport with an extensive history and they’ve been able to put that experience into the products that they offer. We’ll also be reviewing some of the gis that they offer in the future, but here we’ll be focusing on their no gi equipment.

REVGEAR No Gi Collection Review

Rashguards

REVGEAR rashguardsREVGEAR offer both short and long-sleeve rashguards in their no gi collection, and either one is a great option. The graphics are always fully sublimated and don’t peel or crack, which is often a problem when buying from less established brands. As for the function itself, all of their rashguards include hydro-wicking which means that they won’t soak up sweat during a session. What sets them apart from the rest is the comfortable longer fit and the range of clean designs that are the perfect alternative to the common busy graphics.

Shorts

The shorts that REVGEAR offer are equally impressive, and they follow the same sleek design as their rashguards. They are comfortable mid-length shorts that are long enough that spats aren’t necessary. They’re made of very stretchy but clearly durable material too, so they should last more than long enough for any grappler. The drawstring is equally strong so they won’t need to be re-tied constantly and there’s a lot of room in each sizing too, so they offer a nice fit at any size.

Spats

REVGEAR Spats

The last piece of the puzzle for the REVGEAR no gi collection is their spats, which use the same hydro-wicking as their rashguards. They have found the perfect thickness for the material too, as they are thin enough to remain comfortable while also being thick enough to feel durable over time. The spats fit the legs really snug, offering great compression and genuinely feeling like a second skin. Just like everything else that REVGEAR offer, they’ve stuck to a clean and simple design here as well.

REVGEAR No Gi Collection Review Conclusion

REVGEAR have clearly put a ton of thought and effort into bringing their no gi collection to life and to their credit, this seems to have paid off. Everything feels very durable and should last more than long enough before general wear and tear starts to take effect. The comfort can’t be overstated either, as everything is designed to fit snugly without being restrictive and the fabric has a ton of stretch in it. The really great thing about everything is that REVGEAR have stuck with simple designs throughout, so it all looks slick instead of the usual crowded designs that so many BJJ brands seem to favor. For anyone looking for that kind of sleek aesthetic, they really can’t do any better in terms of quality.
