The Catch Wrestling World Championship 2025 is scheduled to take place on October 18th, 2025 and there’s a great lineup of talented grapplers competing. There are competitors coming from all around the world and 13 different countries are going to be represented, although most of the, are naturally coming from England and the USA. The American contingent is being led by the most famous proponent of modern Catch Wrestling, Josh Barnett, who will be competing in the over 100kg division in an attempt to win another title. Barnett isn’t the only champion from previous years who is returning, and many divisions have a reigning champion from last year’s edition who will be competing.
There are some interesting brackets at the event too; with successful competitors like Zoe Lundy, Angel Verduzco, and David Weintraub involved, just to name a few. The participation levels are improving almost every year too, and now there are several weight classes with opening rounds before the quarter-finals begin. The women’s divisions in particular are impressive in that respect, as they’ve managed to put together two tough lineups at under 55kg and under 68kg where every competitor on the podium will have earned their way there through some challenging matches.
