Battleground Grappling 5 is scheduled for March 2nd, 2024 and the promotion has put together a great lineup that includes two title-fights at the top of the card. There are a number of other matches booked for the event that will be supporting these two main events, including several big names in the growth of the Jiu-Jitsu scene in Australia over the last few years. Veteran grapplers like Lachlan Conway and Stacey Wilson will be competing alongside some of the most talented contenders from today like Siraj Soufi and Bobby Sandhu. Once the dust has settled on all of these matches, Battleground Grappling will crowning a new under 90kg champion and unifying their heavyweight titles.
First up is Tito Carle and Alex Hungahunga, two fantastic grapplers in the heavyweight division who are well known across Australia for their talent on the mats. They’ll be competing to be crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion, while the final match of the night will see someone wearing the vacant under 90kg title for the first time. That will feature one of the top young stars of Australian Jiu-Jitsu, Kaya Rudolph, and he’ll be facing off against Gracie Barra product Ricky Pachon in a match that is sure to produce some fireworks.
