The Porrada Cup is a fantastic annual tournament that is staged by Alpha Grappling Championships and it regularly attracts several elite grapplers to battle it out for the grand prize. The tournament makes use of the promotion’s unique ruleset, where each matchup is set up as a best two out of three and competitors must beat their opponents twice in order to proceed to the next round. The 2022 edition of the Porrada Cup was the second time that the promotion had staged this tournament and the bracket was stacked with tough competitors like Dinu Bucalet and John Hathaway.
Christiano Troisi and Max Bickerton were the two men who managed to beat both of their first opponents and make their way into the final of the over 77kg division, and they are both among the top grapplers in Europe. They proved it in this match too, as both Troisi and Bickerton gave everything they had to take home the title at the Porrada Cup 2. They went through all three rounds and pushed the pace across a total of twenty-one minutes but in the end, it was Troisi who was declared the winner by decision. The Porrada Cup 2 definitely ended on a high-note with this match, and there was plenty of highlights leading up to the final as well.
