The first quarter-final rounds of BJJ Clubes 2025 took place on August 3rd, 2025 and two major teams have now booked their place in the semi-finals. Things started on a bit of disappointing note, as Rerisson Gabriel missed weight and had to forfeit the first match without even stepping on the mat. That gave Ataque Duplo the lead in their battle with Alliance Jiu-Jitsu, and they capitalised on that by winning the next two matches on points and going 3-0 up. Vinicius Martins started a comeback for Alliance by narrowly beating Gabriel Galvao, while Leonardo Ferreira and Amanda Hening carried on that run to level the score at 3-3. Gabriel missing weight came back to haunt Alliance though, as Harryson Pereira earned an upset win over Marcus Ribeiro and sealed the victory for Ataque Duplo.
The next round was a battle between Almeida Jiu-Jitsu and GF Team, with GF Team immediately showing shy they were one of the favorites. They won the first three matches in a row and Julio Arantes even got the first submission win of the night against Artur Oliveira. Felipe Ribas started Almeida Jiu-Jitsu’s comeback with the only other submission finish, locking up a rear-naked choke against Josete Filho. Leonardo Lara and Gisele Tavares won their matches to tie things up at 3-3 but it wasn’t enough in the end, as Victor Honorio scored a single point against Sean Goolsby to send GF Team through to the next round.
