The ADCC Macae Open 2025 took place on December 6th, 2025 and it featured several exciting performances from both veteran competitors and young prospects. The best result in the women’s division came from third degree black belt Talita Neves, who took double gold by winning both the over 70kg and absolute divisions. The men’s double champion was Salahuddin Pazetnov, an 18-year old brown belt from Dagestan who came in representing Melqui Galvao. Pazetnov is clearly one to watch for the future, as he ran through the under 76kg division with 3 submissions in 3 matches before beating another 3 opponents in the absolute to win his second gold medal of the day.

Pazetnov wasn’t the only Melqui Galvao product to entertain the crowd though, as 18 year-old purple belt Guilherme Oliveira finished all 8 of his matches across both the intermediate and advanced under 70kg division. Pyramide Grappling brown belt Matheus Peres also had an incredible run in the under 83kg, submitting all 4 of his opponents to win gold. As always with the Brazilian ADCC Open tournaments, it was a great opportunity to see the next generation of elite competitors in action. With the South American ADCC Trials just a few months away, some of these names will be gearing up for a shot at gold there.
