Fabricio Andrey and Eduardo Granzotto went to war at ONE Fight Night 36 on October 3rd, 2025 but only one man could come out on top in the end. It was some great matchmaking by ONE Championship to begin with, and not just because both men are known for their fast-paced styles. They also have a little bit of history with each other, stemming from the IBJJF World Championship earlier this year. They met in the opening round of the featherweight division and although Andrey was probably the favorite on paper, Granzotto got the upset win on points and moved on in the bracket.
This was Andrey’s second match for ONE Championship after he beat Ashley Williams by decision at ONE Fight Night 30, while Granzotto was making his promotional debut. Both men had their moments of success in the match but Andrey was awarded the decision win, owing in large part to a deep armbar attempt that had Granzotto in trouble halfway through the match. Andrey is now 2-0 in the promotion’s featherweight division and he fonds himself in a great position to start campaigning for a title-shot. The title is currently vacant but there’s some great options for him to face to crown the division’s first champion; like Diogo Reis or Garry Tonon.
