The Ronin BJJ Camp Ibiza is quickly shaping up to be one of the best BJJ Training Camps around thanks to the elite instructors who are booked in for their first edition. Most training camps will have one or two top competitors and coaches leading classes or a slate of less well-known black belts teaching. The Ronin BJJ Camp Ibiza has gone all-in and secured an amazing lineup of 7 of the best grapplers on the planet to teach from September 26th to 29th, 2024. Naturally they’ve been getting a lot of attention and we’ve already spoken to the man behind the operation, Matteo Vasi, so this time we thought we’d hear from the instructors who will be teaching.
Rosa Walsh has burst on to the scene at the highest level since being promoted to black belt back around a year ago, and she was actually the first black belt under Ffion Davies. That is already testament enough to how talented Walsh is, but she’s also a great coach too. She won’t just be teaching at the Ronin BJJ Camp Ibiza though, she’ll be learning from the other instructors at the same time:
“I’m really looking forward to being in Ibiza in September for the Ronin Camp. I’m really looking forward to teaching my sessions but also attending other classes of the world class instructors that are on the camp such as Ffion Davies, Roger Gracie, and Espen Mathiesen!”
Roger isn’t the only member of the Gracie Family who will be teaching at the camp though, as Rayron Gracie will be imparting some of his wisdom too. Rayron is still pretty early in his black belt career at the moment but he recently secured a huge submission win over Fellipe Andrew at ADXC 3. That win proved that Rayron is among the best grapplers in the world and he just can’t wait to share that skill with everyone at the camp:
“You are pretty much combining the best things in life. Jiu-Jitsu, sunny beaches, great people. I mean, you can’t get any better than that! Besides the excellent level of instructors my favorite part is spending time with the students for a few days instead of just 2 hours. That is the biggest difference between a regular seminar and a camp such as this.”
Among the other incredible instructors at the Ronin BJJ Camp Ibiza is Danielle Kelly, the reigning ONE Championship atomweight submission grappling world champion. She actually holds a special place in the history of BJJ at ONE, as she was the very first female grappling champion they ever crowned. Her inclusion in the camp also represents a huge opportunity for anyone attending, as this will be the first time anyone has been able to learn from her in this kind of environment:
“I’m looking forward to teaching alongside and with the best grapplers in the world today and current champions. I’ve never taught or gone to Ibiza so I’m looking forward to exploring what’s there and this will be the first camp I’ve ever taught!”
The insanely high level of Jiu-Jitsu at Ronin BJJ Camp Ibiza isn’t even the only reason to attend, as the location itself is truly amazing. The beautiful beaches and blazing sun make for a fantastic setting, and there’s so much to love about Ibiza itself as well.
