Elisabeth Clay will now put her featherweight title on the line against Helena Crevar in an excellent match at Who’s Number One (WNO) 27 on April 18th, 2025. This is actually the first time that Clay has attempted to defend her title, and a lot has changed since she won it. She beat Brianna Ste-Marie to claim the vacant belt at WNO 20: Night of Champions around a year and a half ago now, and that’s a long time in the world of combat sports. Back when she did that, Crevar was just a top prospect who was on the radar but hadn’t yet had the opportunity to face the very best in the world.

That all changed last year though, as Crevar had a breakthrough moment at ADCC 2024. She was making her debut in the under 65kg division and although she was the youngest woman on the mat, she went 2-1 and left the tournament with a silver medal. Many fans were aware of Crevar before then and it looked like she was capable of big things, but ADCC 2024 made her truly undeniable. That silver medal has earned her even more big opportunities since then and she’s continually put on flawless performances against elite competitors; even becoming the inaugural Polaris lightweight champion at one point.

Clay meanwhile actually welcomed her first child and took a little time away from competition, but she returned very quickly and immediately got back to winning major titles. Now she’s taking on a new challenge by attempting to defend this title for the first time and despite how high-profile this match is, it isn’t even the main event. Kaynan Duarte and Nicky Rodriguez will be headlining WNO 27 and there will likely be a few more big-name matches announced in the coming weeks as well. Despite all the action going on that night, this match between Clay and Crevar will be one of the best of the card.

Flograppling announced the WNO 27 title-fight between Elisabeth Clay and Helena Crevar in a recent post to their official Instagram account and the full live event will be available to watch on April 18th, 2025 on FloGrappling, click here to subscribe and watch.
