EBI 26 took place on November 16th, 2025 and some of the world’s best welterweights battled it out under Combat Jiu-Jitsu rules to win the title. There was a great breakout performance from Andy Granados, as he submitted two more experienced competitors in Shane Curtis and Jonathan Wilson. He couldn’t progress any further than the semi-finals though unfortunately, as he ran in to Derek Rayfield there. Rayfield had an impressive night overall; working his game to perfection in his first three matches to find submission wins against Fernando Tello, Caleb Crump, and Granados in order to book his place in the final.
The other side of the bracket saw two-time EBI champion Alan Sanchez repeat his previous success by blitzing through everyone. He submitted Brayan Peynado in the opening round before hitting the craziest finish of the night against Osvaldo Canamar; an incredibly tight gogoplata. Sanchez then submitted fellow 10th Planet representative Kevin Beuhring in the semi-final, moving on to his longest match of the night against Rayfield. Neither man could find the finish in regulation time but Sanchez came out quickly in overtime, locking up the rear-naked choke in just 18 seconds of the first round. Rayfield tried everything he could to get a faster finish on his turn, but Sanchez stayed safe and clsimed his third EBI title.
