Dillon Danis has just put on a flawless performance in his MMA comeback against popular influencer Warren Spencer at Misfits Boxing 22 on August 30th, 2025. He was always the favourite coming into the fight thanks to his combat sports experience, as Spencer was making his MMA debut and had only ever competed in boxing matches before. Danis was still able to outdo expectations in fairness to him, as he secured the quickest finish of his MMA career so far. Both of his previous fights were first-round finishes but this time he was able to get the win after just 15 seconds of action.

Most people would have predicted that Spencer would avoid the ground at all costs against the Marcelo Garcia black belt, but he was the one who actually chose to go there in the end. The two men had one short striking exchange but Spencer attempted to get a hold of Danis on the next one. As soon as Danis saw his opponent’s head duck low, he reached over the top and locked up an arm-in guillotine choke. Danis was happy to sit back and accept the takedown, knowing that he had it in tight and could quickly sweep Spencer with it as they went down.

Danis stepped straight into mount when he landed on top and he squeezed hard on the choke for the finish, forcing the tap quickly. Not only is Danis now the winner of the first ever Misfits MMA fight, but he was also awarded the promotion’s inaugural cruiserweight title in the process. It’s unclear what will come next for Danis at this point; as he might choose to defend his title, to return to boxing, or even to disappear from combat sports for a while again. It’s always been tough to predict his next move, but it does seem as though he’s got his heart set on continuing his MMA career for now.

Misfits Boxing shared the footage of Dillon Danis winning his MMA comeback against Warren Spencer in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
