Popular YouTuber KSI has just announced that he is pulling out of his boxing match with Dillon Danis due to an illness that he is currently struggling with. The match was supposed to take place in just a little over a week’s time at Misfits Boxing 21 on March 29th, 2025. There’s no news yet on whether the promotion will be able to find a replacement for KSI but given that these two had the biggest star-power on the card, it’s unlikely that they will. In that case the bout will be scrapped, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see it delayed until a later date given the beef between the two men.
This is actually the second time that matchmakers have attempted to put this these two men in the ring together now, and it’s fallen apart both times. It was originally supposed to take place a little over two years ago and at the time, it would have been the first boxing match of Danis’ career. It was Danis that pulled out that time around, although he never actually the reasons behind the withdrawal. That drew plenty of criticism from both the fans and KSI himself, so naturally Danis wasted no time at all in returning the favor now that the tables have turned.
Although Danis will undoubtedly be unhappy with losing out on what would have been a pretty lucrative opportunity, but luckily this wasn’t the only fight he was preparing for. Danis also signed with Global Fight League earlier this year with the intention of making his return to professional MMA, marking the first time he has competed in that sport in over five years now. Although the exact date of his return to MMA is yet to be confirmed, he does already have an opponent secured. At some point this year, Danis will be taking on UFC legend Tony Ferguson in his first fight for the promotion.
KSI shared the news that he was pulling out of his boxing match with Dillon Danis in a recent post to his official Twitter account, and Danis was quick to respond:
I remember my first cold. https://t.co/P60wfSa7zT
