Dillon Danis will now be making his return to professional MMA against Warren Spencer at Misfits Boxing 22: Ring of Thrones on August 30th, 2025. This will mark the first time that the promotion has ever put together an MMA fight, as they’re actually one of the leading figures in the world of celebrity and influencer boxing matches instead. The fight will launch their MMA division and it will also crown their first MMA champion, as the promotion’s light-heavyweight title is going to be on the line. There’s plenty of scope for them to expand beyond this too, as several MMA fighters have taken boxing matches with them in the past.

Danis is one of them in fact, as his sole boxing match against Logan Paul took place under the Misfits Boxing banner. He lost that match by disqualification when a brawl broke out after extended periods of inactivity and attempts to grapple by Danis, but that hasn’t turned Misfits off him. He spent much of his time prior to the fight taunting Paul and his fiancee Nina Agdal on social media and it seems as though that effort to promote the fight must have worked, or they wouldn’t be so eager to have him back. They actually already tried to bring him back earlier this year, but KSI pulled out of the boxing match with him and the event was cancelled.

The MMA fight marks a change of pace for Misfits and his opponent, Warren Spencer, will be making his debut, but Danis has been here before. He previously fought for Bellator twice in 2018 and 2019, winning both of his fights by submission in the first round. He hasn’t had an MMA fight in the last 6 years though, but he will at least have been preparing for one recently. He was going to fight Tony Ferguson at GFL before the entire event was scrapped when the promotion ran into trouble, so presumably he has at least been training MMA in the last few months.

Misfits Boxing announced the news that Dillon Danis was going to make his return to MMA against Warren Spencer in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
