ONE Friday Fights 105 took place on April 18th, 2025 and Denny Sisti scored a huge submission win in the only grappling match of the night. It was the first time that Sisti had competed for ONE Championship and he was opening the show opposite Rodrigo Marello at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, so the pressure was on from the start. It’s not as if the promotion was giving him an easy opponent in his debut either, as Marello holds the ONE Championship record for fastest submission from his own debut at ONE 161. That was the only time he’s competed for the promotion though, so at least his advantage in experience wasn’t too big.
The two men had already met too, with Sisti hitting a beautiful flying armbar on Marello to win gold in the ADCC Thailand National Open just a few months ago. Although this match actually lasted a little longer than their first, it ended in an equally impressive fashion. Sisti took just over three minutes to lock up a brutal kneebar that clearly caused Marello a lot of pain, and potentially even some damage, before he tapped. Sisti announced his arrival in the ONE Championship bantamweight division and the promotion has some interesting potential matchups for him like Shoya Ishiguro or Zayed Alkatheeri.
