The Catch Wrestling World Championship 2025 took place on October 18th, 2025 and there were tough matches in every single weight class. The lineup was impressive and many of the divisions featured champions from years gone by, all looking to add to their records. There were three men who left the event with their third consecutive title, continuing long runs of dominance. Brett Pfarr and Thomas Higgins did it for the United States at under 90kg and under 82kg, while Finlay Marshall took his third under 74kg title back to Scotland. The only other multiple-time champions in the men’s divisions were Harry Meadows and Giovanni Di Clemente, who won their second consecutive titles for England at under 59kg and for Italy at under 63kg respectively.
Both of the women’s divisions were won by reigning champions, with Bryony Tyrell winning under 55kg for England and Brianna Kellin taking the under 68kg title back to the US again. The rest of the champions were all standing on top of the podium for the very first time, starting with American champion Andreus Bond at under 68kg. The final two champions rounding out the lineup were both from England, meaning that the birthplace of catch wrestling still produced more champions than any other country. Tom Inglis won the heaviest division of the event at over 100kg, while Ollie Hurst managed to dethrone two-time champion Angel Verduzco in the final at under 100kg.
