The Catch Wrestling US National Championship 2024 took place on December 22nd, 2024 and the ACWA put together a great tournament with some fantastic talent on the mats. MMA legend Josh Barnett brought several members of his Warbringers team to the event and they each put on excellent performances. The lightest of them, Dap Deshayzer won the under 143lbs division and earned himself the Robinson Award for outstanding wrestler of the tournament as a result. Tsvetomir Todorov also represented the team well, as he stood at the top of the podium in the under 163lbs division despite having to face some incredibly tough opposition along the way.
The final champion coming from Barnett’s team was Brett Pfarr, and he was coming into the tournament as the favorite to win gold at under 214lbs. Not only is Pfarr a two-time world champion in the sport but he’s also the reigning world champion after an incredible performance earlier this year. Pfarr was even more dominant than could have been expected, as he stormed to victory at under 214lbs by finishing every single match by either pin or submission. That earned him the Gotch Award for the most finishes in the least amount of time, rounding out an excellent day for the Warbringers team and doing Catch Wrestling legend Barnett very proud indeed.
