Cage Fury BJJ 16 took place on December 27th, 2025 and the promotion closed out their year with one of their most exciting shows ever. Every single one of the main card matches ended in a submission, starting out with a pair of anaconda chokes from Joey Milano and Max Livingston. Savion Maranon then showed off some beautiful transitions from triangle choke to armbar next, followed by a big win for Matt Masch by rear-naked choke. That was followed by one of the most interesting matches of the night, as it involved a pretty big weight difference. Max Hanson moved up in weight to beat Steve Joachim, securing a heel hook with only a few seconds left on the clock.
Young prospect Joslyn Molina was up next and she beat yet another veteran competitor in Ansley Cox, hitting a rarely-seen arm-in rear-naked choke. The co-main event then featured a UFC veteran and one of the promotion’s most frequent faces, Alexandr Romanov. He was up against Brian Newman and he locked up a rear-naked choke to continue the night’s exciting run of submissions. Then it was time for the main event, where Oliver Taza was taking on another promotional fan-favorite; Andrew Kochel. It was another unusual finish, as Taza was attacking from north-south when he switched to a reverse triangle choke for the finish.
