BJJ Stars 18 took place on November 22nd, 2025 and every match on the stacked delivered some great results for anyone watching. There weren’t any submission finishes in the entire card but the matches were still entertaining regardless, and there were a few upsets throughout the night too. Luis Oliveira and Guilherme Augusto put on one of the closest battles of the event early on, as neither man could score and they were equal on advantages. The referee decision was tough to predict, but they sided with Augusto and he secured a big win against a fellow top contender in the ultra-heavyweight division.

There was another close match in the gi shortly after, where Matheus Vetoraci hit a single-leg early on that almost scored and that proved to be the deciding factor. It was just one advantage scored against Rider Zuchi but Zuchi couldn’t score anything back in return. Immediately after that was the biggest points-margin of the night, where Yatan Bueno put on clinic against Dan Manasoiu that saw him hit several takedowns and pass his guard to win 7-0. Then there was a fairly minor upset as gi specialist Meyram Maquine continued his amazing run in no gi competition by passing Owen Jones’ guard and winning on points.

There was another battle between elite lighter competitors straight after, with Fabricio Andrey beating Oliver Taza in another decision. That led straight into the co-main event with two of the biggest veterans of the night, Vagner Rocha and Sergio Moraes. Rocha managed to get the win there after a few penalties were given out, and the action rolled on in to the main event. That’s where Pedro Marinho put his absolute championship on the line against Roosevelt Sousa and although neither man could finish or score, Marinho’s consistent passing attempts ended up winning him the decision.
