BJJ Connection Morocco is about to return for their third edition, and their first in the beautiful city of Marrakech, powered by Rebels With a Cause. The first two editions of the camp took place in Imsouane, a quieter town known for it’s incredibly surfing. Marrakech on the other hand is one of the biggest cities in the country and it has the historic Medina quarter, home to the Souks that have made it famous today. With this huge move, BJJ Connection Morocco is now going to provide it’s attendees with even more opportunities for sightseeing and socialising than ever before. Although there’s going to be a lot to enjoy in Marrakech, obviously the main attraction from September 17th to 21st, 2025 is the fantastic Jiu-Jitsu experience.
The camp will be led by Faris Ben-Lamkadem, a BJJ black belt under the legendary Roger Gracie and the first British man to ever win the IBJJF No Gi World Championship. Ben-Lamkadem is not just one of the top competitors in the UK right now though, he’s also an excellent coach. He was actually hand-selected as the coach for Team Misfits Europe at CJI 2, and is currently preparing his team for the event. Once the dust has settled on the biggest no gi grappling tournament of the year, Ben-Lamkadem will be making his way to Marrakech.
That’s where he’ll be teaching 5 Jiu-Jitsu sessions across both gi and no gi to the attendees of BJJ Connection Morocco 2025, but there’s much more to enjoy than that. The training camp also includes two open mat sessions to put your new knowledge to the test, and half-board catering every day. Attendees will also get to see Marrakech in a whole new light with a sunrise hot air balloon ride, and enjoy a day trip to the unique Domaine Du Retro. The camp also offers plenty of other optional activities and of course, the ability to immerse yourself into the culture and local life in Marrakech.
Morocco is quickly becoming a hub for Jiu-Jitsu in Africa and a big part of that is the work that BJJ Connection Morocco have done over the last few years. By bringing in some of the best grapplers in the world like Magid Hage and Adam Wardzinski and offering those in attendance the ability to enjoy all that Morocco has to offer, they’re driving the Jiu-Jitsu scene forward there. Their camps always blend high-level training with unforgettable backdrops, from Moroccan beaches to incredible cultural spots, and Marrakech will follow the same philosophy. With packages starting from as little as €750, it’s no surprise that they’re selling fast and grapplers will have to act soon to secure their place on one of the most unique Jiu-Jitsu escapes in the world – powered by Rebels With a Cause.
