BJJ Bet 2 marked the first event that the Brazilian promotion had scheduled in 2021, with their first event in 2020 being a resounding success. They were looking to crown a no gi grand prix champion and Lucas ‘Hulk’ Barbosa put on three great performances on route to taking home the title. He started out with a dominating win over Servio Tulio in which he didn’t concede a single point, before booking his place in the finals by submitting Mauricio Oliveira with an arm-triangle. Once there, he met the legendary Leandro Lo and made short work of him by taking the back shortly after landing the opening takedown and securing the rear-naked choke from there.
