AIGA is one of the most exciting new grappling promotions out there and the Champions League tournament they’ve arranged is now going to be streamed live on FloGrappling. The fledgeling promotion is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan and they have so far specialized in putting together high-level team grappling tournaments featuring competitors from all around the world. It’s still pretty early days as they’re currently getting everything ready for their second event, which has been booked for the weekend of August 19th and 20th, 2023. Despite being a relatively new promotion, they’ve already managed to attract some impressive names to compete at the event.
B-Team Jiu-Jitsu sent a team of grapplers to compete in the first part of their Champions League tournament, alongside other top teams like the Kyrgyzstan National Team. The second part of the team grappling tournament promises to be just as exciting as well, as other top competitors have already signed up for the event. In fact, ADCC head organizer Mo Jassim has entered Team Modolfo into the second part of the Champions League tournament and he’s put together in an incredible lineup of top competitors that includes two ADCC world champions.
While Jassim has put together what is undoubtedly the most impressive team that the tournament has ever seen, it still won’t be easy for them to emerge victorious at the event. They’ll have stiff opposition from Al Leone, Universal Fighters, and Nurmagomedov MMA School, which is coached by one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time; Khabib Nurmagomedov. Naturally the tournament has started to attract quite a bit of attention from the grappling world and there will undoubtedly be plenty of exciting moments over the weekend of August 19th and 20th.
AIGA announced the news that the second part of their Champions League tournament and all events for the foreseeable future will be available to stream live on FloGrappling in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
