The Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) 2 took place on January 19th, 2024 and the promotion’s second event delivered some fantastic results for the fans in attendance or watching around the world. It was another night of high-level grappling action and after the success of their first event, there was even more attention on the young promotion this time around. They had even managed to put together a lineup that was more impressive than their first venture, with two top UFC fighters clashing in the main event. It was a very close match but in the end Aljamain Sterling managed to do just enough to get the judges on his side, and they chose to award him the split decision win over Chase Hooper.
Bruno Lima put on a fantastic display in the gi main event, beating Manuel Ribamar by unanimous decision and he even chose to call out Jansen Gomes as his next opponent in the promotion’s cage. Lima doesn’t want to waste any time either, as he laid out the challenge for Gomes to meet him at the upcoming ADXC 3 event in Brazil. There was plenty of action leading up to the grand finale of ADXC 2 too, with both of the co-main event matches producing some exciting results. Espen Mathiesen beat Pablo Lavaselli by decision in a technically beautiful match before Ffion Davies locked up the quickest submission of the night against Luana Pinheiro.
