ADXC 1 took place on October 20th, 2023 and the debut event from Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship delivered fantastic results for all of the fans in attendance. Andre Galvao and many other BJJ legends were in attendance at the event but it was a little more special for him, as his daughter Sarah Galvao was opening the show. She also locked up the first submission win in the promotion’s history, submitting Vitoria Gabriella with a gi choke. The next match saw one of the most impressive finishes of the night, as Dan Manasoiu managed to hit a nice uchi mata and follow it up with a heel hook to get the tap inside of the first minute.
The rest of the preliminary card and main card progressed nicely, with plenty of action throughout. Marcio Andre and Fabricio Andrey engaged in one of the toughest matches of the night too, a close match that ended with a split decision going in Andrey’s favor. The gi main event between Isaque Bahiense and Gustavo Batista was equally exciting, and it was Bahiense who managed to come away with the win by unanimous decision. Then it was time for the final match of the night, the no gi main event between Neiman Gracie and Benson Henderson. Gracie was relentless in attacking Henderson’s back and although he couldn’t finish the choke, he transitioned to an armbar to force the tap.
