The Abu Dhabi World Pro 2025 took place on November 20th to 22nd, 2025 and it featured some of the best gi competitors in the world in every weight class. There were several people who added another title to their existing collection, most notably at light-heavyweight where Fellipe Andrew won for the fourth year in a row. Lucas Protasio also hit a big milestone by winning his third title at welterweight, a record he’s reached within 4 years. The only other multiple-time champions in the men’s weight classes were Uanderson Ferreira and Thalison Soares, who each won their second consecutive title at middleweight and light-featherweight respectively, and Zayed Alkatheeri; who won his second title in 4 years at featherweight.
There were three two-time champions in the women’s weight classes though, starting with Grasielle Brandao in the lightest division at roosterweight. Yara Soares achieved the same feat at the opposite end of the scale in the heavyweight division, while Canadian black belt Lillian Marchand won for the second time at lightweight. Sabatha Lais was a new champion at middleweight and Gabriela Pereira won for the first time at light-featherweight. There were another two new champions in the men’s divisions; with Sebastian Serpa winning his first title at lightweight and Alexander Sak bringing a title back to Germany in the super-heavyweight division.
