The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam tour came to Istanbul on June 29th, 2025 and there were quite a few serious contenders featured in the results. The UAE was well-represented as always, with Omar Alsuwaidi and Khaled Alshehhi winning the light-featherweight and featherweight divisions respectively. The next weight classes up from that were probably the toughest brackets of the tournament, where even seasoned veterans couldn’t make it to the top of the podium. Joao Mendes won gold at lightweight and Jefferson Goteu won the welterweight division, but one of the biggest surprises came at middleweight when Pablo Custodia managed to take home the title despite elite opposition.

Belmir Ahmespahic was another upset champion at light-heavyweight, while Felipe Bezerra put on a great performance to win the super-heavyweight division. The heaviest female champion was Stefhanie Costa, who submitted the same opponent twice to win the heavyweight division. Laura Sieradzan had a great run to gold in the middleweight division, while the lightweight division was won by Tamara Toros. The lightest female champion was Grasielle Brandao and she registered a pair of points wins to take the roosterweight division. Rounding out the list of champions is Gabriela Pereira and she also added a pair of solid wins to her record at light-featherweight.
