Tye Ruotolo has just extended his run as the most successful grappler in ONE Championship history by defending his welterweight title once again; this time in a very tough match with Polish superstar Pawel Jaworski. The two met in the co-main event of ONE Fight Night 41 on March 13th, 2026 and it was always going to be an interesting stylistic matchup, but it proved to be a very entertaining one too. Ruotolo threw everything he had at Jaworski and maintained his trademark high pace throughout the match, but Jaworski kept his composure regardless and dealt with everything that came his way.
Jaworski showed off his elite guardplay pretty much from start to finish, and he was hunting for leglocks at every opportunity. Both men had moments of success but Ruotolo was the first to score a catch, dropping back for an ankle-lock just after the halfway mark. Jaworski returned fire later on, reaping his way into a heel hook to tie the score with just over a minute left on the clock. Ruotolo escaped and came up on top, then attempting an unorthodox choke from top position. It looked like he was attempting an Ezekiel choke at first but he switched to smothering Jaworski with his hand, scoring another catch and getting back in the lead in the dying seconds of the match.
