Gordon Ryan has just announced the release of his very first NFT, and owners of the limited run will receive specific benefits as well. This isn’t the first time that Ryan has been involved with cryptocurrency either, as he managed to ink the sport’s first publicly-known six-figure sponsorship contract just recently with Bitcoin Cash in exchange for representing the business in the run-up to and during ADCC 2022. This is the first time the Gordon Ryan has been involved with the production side of things himself however, as the elite grappler has generated 100 copies of the NFT that bears his likeness.

As with many NFTs, the purchase will also prove to be functional rather than simply a speculative investment. Ryan announced that each of the 100 owners of these NFTs will be granted unlimited lifetime access to every single one of the instructionals that he produces after the date that the individual NFT was purchased. Ryan is known for being a prolific instructor on BJJ Fanatics already, but he also confirmed that he intends to release 6 instructionals per year for the foreseeable future.

Given that his instructionals usually retail at $249, the NFT will save the owner just under $1500 for every year that they hold it. The initial price upon release of the NFT is 1 Ethereum which is worth $3,039.01 at the time of writing. This means that each of the owners of the Gordon Ryan NFT can expect to get their money’s worth out of the product by around two years after the time they bought it, assuming they had planned on buying each of his instructionals at full value and not including the inherent resale value of the NFT itself.

Gordon Ryan announced the news of his first NFT being released in a post to his official Instagram account:
