This is more for the higher belts. Have you guys ever faced a white belt that was just crazy strong/athletic and gave you problems?

A Nogi roll with a guy that had massive wrists, and gas for days. Causes more control issues than I would’ve expected. Also a guy that knew three things, a death grip, an air tight turtle, and a bridge hard enough to get air off, not much weight advantage, not much inbetween. It’s the scenarios that feature people ‘grappling wrong’ that cause me the most problems, especially after coming off a roll with a regular training partner, the skill disparity and the issues of familiarity with your regular partner’s games can leave you a bit open to an inappropriate bit of spazzing. Less of an issue if the pace has been up, competition sparring for example. No cure for massive wrists vs small hands though.

I always run into annoying super strong white belts. Mainly wrestlers or crossfit junkies. They are really tough, you end up spending more energy but they aren’t much of a threat…unless they try to can opener you. One time, one guy, he is a body builder, just took my leg and snapped it for the submission, LAME!
