Training in Rio with Fight Travel - My Review & Experience

I went on this trip in October of 2012, so quite recently, and I just wanted to leave this review out there to let people know how utterly awesome of an experience this was. At first I was really hesitant to go because I didn’t really hear about them before, there were no real reviews out there (why I would like to write this first) but after contacting them, I saw how professional they were and decided to just do it.

To keep this short, trip was excellent, it was affordable, the guide was really cool and the training was superb. I really improved when I came back, more physically than anything else. I picked up a bunch of tips, but what really improved was the intensity I can roll at after sparring with all those browns and blacks. And don’t worry, there were plenty of white and blues to roll with too. There were actually a few beginners on the trip too. They initially came to enjoy more of Rio and training was a bonus.

Ummm, what else can I say, I highly recommend this to everyone and it’s probably the best 2 weeks I’ve had in years. If any one has any questions about the trip, I can answer them on here to the best of my ability. I really back this trip/experience.

Athlete sponsorship for driven young bjj player

My names Todd Mueckenheim i’m 21 years old, I wrestled in high school for 4 years and instead of taking the college wrestling route and I transitioned to jiu-jitsu and have been doing it for about 4yrs years as well and i must say i got the bjj bug lol. I am a brown belt under mike wacker of black hole bjj, who received his black belt from Steve Kardian (Gracie thornwood) and Rob Kahn (Gracie Tampa), who our both black belts under Royce Gracie. I love to compete, learn new techniques, and meet and learn from fellow bjj practitioners.

I train every day at my school black hole -jiu-jitsu located in Wappinger’s falls, New York ,and I also try to make it at least 1 day every week to train at Marcelo Garcia’s academy in the city or other schools around the east coast area. I get the training and nutrition I need but, I’m looking for sponsorship so I may have the opportunity to travel to the bigger tournaments (Europeans, worlds, pan-ams, etc.) , and get my name out there and get to compete against the best in the world. This weekend in fact i have the opportunity to compete in the abu dhabi trials in miami, thanks to my instructor mike wacker and grandfather so keep a lookout for results.

I’d represent and provide great exposure for any brand because I’m always going to different places for training and competitions and I’m a young driven athlete looking to do whatever it takes to get to the next big step in my bjj career. If you have any questions or suggestions, comment here or message met at: tmuckd at gmail dot com.
