I went on this trip in October of 2012, so quite recently, and I just wanted to leave this review out there to let people know how utterly awesome of an experience this was. At first I was really hesitant to go because I didn’t really hear about them before, there were no real reviews out there (why I would like to write this first) but after contacting them, I saw how professional they were and decided to just do it.

To keep this short, trip was excellent, it was affordable, the guide was really cool and the training was superb. I really improved when I came back, more physically than anything else. I picked up a bunch of tips, but what really improved was the intensity I can roll at after sparring with all those browns and blacks. And don’t worry, there were plenty of white and blues to roll with too. There were actually a few beginners on the trip too. They initially came to enjoy more of Rio and training was a bonus.

Ummm, what else can I say, I highly recommend this to everyone and it’s probably the best 2 weeks I’ve had in years. If any one has any questions about the trip, I can answer them on here to the best of my ability. I really back this trip/experience.

Hello all,
I am trying to promote a venue in south GA. I know sounds silly but its a great opportunity to bring jiu jitsu to south Georgia not to mention its for a great cause. Jessica Lee fund is set in place to help a family that lost their daughter to leukemia earlier this year. A member of team Gustavo Machado (3rd degree black belt under Gordo) will be traveling from his school in Virginia Beach to come down to Tifton, GA and supporting the cause. Please help me in spreading some love for jiu jitsu and a family in need. www.facebook.com/grappling4jessica please check out the official event page in about section. Seminar to be held on January 12, 2013.

The guy is 145 lbs and is killing his division, just tapped the hell out of Cobrinha and he lost to a decision against RODOLFO in adcc nogi…I mean, come on…thats got to be a sign. He is winning everything, almost, there was that time tanquinho got in his way…

you find someone who has been training BJJ for a few years and doesn’t know jack shit about the UFC? Isn’t it nice to find someone who trains BJJ without any influence of mainstream MMA? The fact that they started the sport for purely what it is. I think it’s great and should be respected. He didn’t even know any of the UFC fighters’ names. MMA is great, but appreciating BJJ for what it is without any connection to MMA is awesome.

Thoughts?

I was really curious about this because I see people doing all sorts of different stuff. I myself like to fold my gi and just place it into my backpack. But I see people stuffing it into their duffels or tying it up with their belts…what do you do?
